Volunteer Staff

Basic Function: To assist in the development, maintenance, and progress of the Recovery Community Centers activities.
- Fill in Center Support
Basic Function: As needed, fill in when Senior Peer Support Coordinator and Office Assistant are away from the Center.
- Internship
Basic Function: Assist and support CCAR staff in a variety of duties that are tailored to fit the requirements of the students educational obligations.
- Office Assistant
Basic Function: Assists and supports Office Manager, Administrative Assistant or any other CCAR staff member in a variety of administrative and clerical duties necessary to run CCAR efficiently.
- Public Relations
Basic Function: Assist in promotion of Center activities/special events by distributing literature throughout the community.
- Recovery T.V. Show
Basic Function: To assist in the development, maintenance and coordination of a recovery access cable show. (Hartford and Windham only)

Level II Volunteer Staff
- Intern
Basic Function: Assists and supports CCAR staff in a variety of duties that are tailored to fit the requirements of the student's educational obligations.
- Peer Group Facilitator
Basic Function: Facilitates peer groups.
- Telephone Recovery Support
Basic Function: Call participants, who have been discharged from addiction programs at regularly prescribed intervals to provide support, connect people with resources and expedite re-intervention when a relapse occurs.

Volunteer Mission
The Volunteer Program of CCAR supports the CCAR mission in organizing the recovery community and its ability to care. To provide a variety of effective peer-to-peer recovery support services that addresses the needs of the recovery community.
Core Values
CCAR Volunteer Orientation Training
The purpose of this training is to address the policies and procedures for being a CCAR volunteer. After this training, volunteers will have a clear understanding of CCAR's recovery center values and ethics, the policies and procedures, the nuts and bolts of advocacy and recovery service. This orientation is compulsory for all CCAR volunteers.
